Up to 1,000 new jobs are on the way to Maryland by way of the Port of Baltimore.
The Port is growing with a new 165-acre rail served container terminal as part of the ongoing redevelopment occurring at Sparrows Point. The expansion will be led by a partnership between Tradepoint Atlantic and Terminal Investment Limited.
Known as one of the top ports in the nation, the Port of Baltimore currently supports 15,300 direct jobs in the state, with more than 140,000 jobs linked to Port activities.
To support the partnership, leadership from the state of Maryland, Baltimore City, and Baltimore County have signed an MOU to support the collaborative project between the jurisdictions.
